Meditation

Taoist meditation is generally more informal than other forms. It is more open to one’s own interpretations and feelings. When a Taoist is doing meditation, they generally do not concentrate upon something, nor do they do not focus on their breathing. One should assume a comfortable position for meditation. Sit as still as you can for a still body helps cultivate a still mind. Let all the excess heat (anger, anxiety, impatience, stress, etc) flow from your body on your exhalations out. Feel it flowing out like the tide sliding out to sea. Let your exhalations in fill you with the tranquil balance of the universe. The body becomes one with all that surrounds it and is as light as a feather and at peace with all. Peacefully disregard any distractions that arise mentally or physically. Cultivate and remain in this state of serenity for as long as you are able.
